Getting the best performance

Make sure your browser can use your dedicated GPU, if you have one.

How to change to high performance

Windows 10 / 11

Open Graphics settings.
Go to Windows Settings → System → Display → Graphics.
Choose your browser.
Select Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or the browser you play in. If it isn’t listed, use Add desktop app or Browse to select the browser application.
Select High performance.
Open Options or GPU preference. Choose High performance and save. If your PC has a dedicated GPU, check that its name is shown.
Restart and check.
Leave any match, fully close every browser window, and reopen the browser. On a laptop, connect the charger. Return here to see the new graphics check, then confirm the game’s GPU under Settings → Video in a practice match.

Only one GPU listed? That may be the only one available. You can still continue playing.

Using another operating system?

If your system offers GPU selection, choose its dedicated GPU for your browser. Otherwise, check its power settings, connect the charger, and turn off battery-saving mode while playing. Some computers have only one GPU.

Trench Arcade requests high-performance graphics automatically. Your browser and operating system choose the GPU; this website cannot switch it or see every GPU installed.
